Our Training Philosophy

In recent years, functional training has become an industry standard when it comes to training athletes. Yet, many trainers are still employing machine-based, single muscle exercises to train their athletes. Is this how an athlete moves during competition? Absolutely not! 

 

The Athletes Depot understands how imperative it is for our athletes to be faster, stronger, more explosive, and have better endurance than their opponents. Not just in a gym, but during competition. That is why we have developed G.I.F.T., (Gross Integrated Functional Training). In our system, we train movement, NOT muscle. We accomplish this by integrating multi-joint, multi-plane, whole body functional movements in each and every workout session. With our training system, you are guaranteed to be IN the action, not WATCHING the action.

Jim has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years, and has helped dozens of athletes train to the optimal level of their physical/genetic capabilities. These athletes include: professional football players, professional soccer players, collegiate track athletes, multisport athletes, competitive MMA fighters, and high school athletes competing in ALL sports. Jim has also personally competed in over 500 endurance, speed, and multisport races. These experiences have been invaluable in learning what it takes to compete with top level athletes from many sports.


With certifications and continuous studies from the National Strength and Conditioning AssociationAmerican Council on Exercise., USA Triathlon, and USA Track and Field, we are certain that the knowledge and experience Jim has obtained will help ANY athlete achieve his or her fitness goals.
